Who is our customer?
The contracting party is Promerica Financial Corporation (“PFC” or “Promerica”). Promerica Financial Corporation is a regional banking group with subsidiaries in Central America, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Ecuador.
What is our funding objective?
PFC has been actively building her gender strategy from an internal and external perspective over the past years. The objective for this particular funding is to build an ambitious and structured approach to reach and strengthen female-led SMEs, through the development of a community platform.
Why do we fund this investment?
To reduce inequalities (SDG 10) FMO continues to work towards increasing the opportunities and income for disadvantaged and excluded persons, with particular attention for female-owned businesses. The role of financial institutions such as banks is central in the providing of financial and non-financial services to support the continued growth of female-owned businesses.
