Who is our customer
Verod Capital Management Limited, an investment firm providing growth capital to medium-sized businesses in West-Africa and the fund manager of FMO’s investee PE funds Verod Capital II and III.
What is our funding objective?
FMO’s funding will be used to help Verod implement a comprehensive gender-smart framework to embed Gender Lens Investing into its investment process.
Why do we fund this investment?
As part of FMO’s commitment to reducing inequalities (SDG 10), FMO aims to contribute to advancing gender equality and closing the gender gap though gender lens investments (GLI), supporting women as employees, women in leadership, women as end-users of goods and services and women as entrepreneurs. To this end, in Strategy 2030 FMO committed to contribute to increased GLI. As part of its commitment to GLI, FMO would like to support its customers integrate gender inclusion and equality into their businesses which is an expected outcome of this project and thereby contributes to FMO’s aim towards Reducing Inequalities (SDG 10).
