Who is our customer
GreenYellow Smart Solutions (“GYSS”), a SPV belongs to Green Yellow Group, a developer of multiple rooftop solar (“RTS”) photovoltaic installations located on the premises of large commercial and industrial (“C&I”) consumers throughout Viet Nam. The electricity generated will be sold to a diversified group of offtakers.
What is our funding objective?
The proposed debt package is dedicated to the funding of rooftop solar projects with an aggregated power capacity of up to 32.4 MWp.
Why do we fund this investment?
The distributed generation nature of rooftop solar will improve the reliability of power supply and reduce Vietnam’s reliance on its fossil-fuel based generation capacity.
What is the Environmental and Social categorization rationale?
Similar to other C&I investments, the project is E&S B-risk category as it includes a portfolio of mostly operational RTS projects that do not trigger higher risks. Applicable IFC Performance Standards are IFC PS1 (E&S Risk Management), 2 (Labor), 3 (Resource efficiency) and 4 (Community Health & Safety).
