Who is our customer

Gajam Group Limited UK, operating under the brand name Dharma Life (“DL”), is an India based social impact enterprise targeting the Base of the Pyramid (BoP) through an entrepreneurship model and by selling products including solar lamps and cooking stoves to rural households in India.

What is our funding objective?

Through this development contribution, FMO aims to support DL to build their capabilities in three interrelated areas: i) strengthening Client Protection Principles, ii) enhancing the core finance function and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) compliance and iii) improving the credit risk management.

Why do we fund this investment?

To make FMO’s working capital facility sustainable in the long term and to keep up with DL’s growth potential, there is the need to review and update DL’s financial policies and processes to identify potential gaps and (client protection) risks and align them with the latest standards and best-practices.
