Who is our customer

Servicios Financieros Total Edpyme (“SFT”, “Total”, “the Company”) is a licensed financial institution in Peru with USD 121 million in total assets as of June 2021. The customer provides primarily leasing products, term loans and (through its only subsidiary Factoring Total) working capital financing (invoice discounting or factoring). Its clients are SMEs in diversified sectors in Peru, including transportation, services, construction and mining, among others.

What is our funding objective?

The USD 10mln loan will be used to grow the company’s loan portfolio by on-lending to SMEs active in the transportation, services, construction and mining sectors in Peru.

Why do we fund this investment?

By providing long term USD funding to SFT, FMO contributes to the economic growth of Peru, enabling CAPEX investments in the SME segment. This will further support additional sources of employment and investment in the country.

What is the Environmental and Social categorization rationale?

E&S category B, based on SFT’s portfolio, which shows a limited exposure to high-risk sectors, through the leasing of equipment for different activities such as the transportation of raw materials and personnel. Important mitigators are the average loan size and the nature of the end client (SMEs) as well as the client’s revised ESMS.
