At the conference "Green Inclusive Finance: Extending the impact of investing" in The Hague, the entire Dutch sector for inclusive finance gathered. The sector discussed approaches to greening its operations and policies. Members of NPM platform for inclusive finance offered a letter of intent to the ministery of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, received by the Director of Sustainable Economic Development.
The members of NPM (a.o. FMO) have worked continuously in recent years to build an accountable, transparent sector, and now also a green sector. The industry is working hard to transform the focus of microfinance and SME financing with green as a starting point. Therefore, they offered their intent to minister Ploumen (Foreign Trade and Development), in which each member committed to greening his / her inclusive finance activities. NpM would like the government to facilitate the enabling environment for the private sector.
