Human Rights Watch sees pushback against intolerant populism

The latest World Report from Human Rights Watch, which assesses human rights issues in more than 90 countries and territories around the world, has catalogued human rights violations, including the impact of conflict in Yemen and the plight of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. However, the report also notes pushback in many countries against authoritarian populist leaders and opinions that undermine universal human rights and democratic institutions.
