This September FMO will host the third conference on the Future of Banking.
Overlooking the harbor of Rotterdam, a major international commercial center, FMO will be hosting the third conference on the Future of Banking. The conference has been renamed the Exchange on the Future of Banking to reflect this year’s emphasis on the exchange of knowledge. This third edition is themed ‘empowering entrepreneurs to build a better world’. Over the course of three days we bring together over 300 top-bankers from financial institutions in emerging markets to share insights and ideas, exchange experiences and aspirations, tackle challenges and come up with solutions and prototypes relevant for the bank of the future.
The program includes speakers such as Mr. Tomáš Sedláček, according to the Yale Economic Review one of the ‘5 hot minds in economics’, Mr. Paul Gilding, environmentalist, former Director at Greenpeace International and author of bestsellers like The Great Disruption, and Berry Marttin, Executive Board member responsible for the International Rural and Retail division of Rabobank International. The program for the exchange will have a highly participatory character to stimulate networking and facilitate knowledge sharing. Our discussions will be focused on practical experience with experts from the field and entrepreneurs. Amongst the topics covered are innovation, sustainability and a vision of banks in the future.
