The Independent Complaints Mechanism's ongoing policy revision, announced in April 2024, has been extended. As a result, the commencement of the public consultation process planned for the first quarter of 2025 has been delayed.
The current timeline aims to commence the public consultation process in the second semester of 2025. The process will include an open portal to receive stakeholder comments on the draft policy and sessions with local communities, NGOs, and experts. There will be an active outreach to various CSO platforms to ensure that stakeholders are made aware of the public consultation.
The Development Finance Institutions are committed to providing two months to conduct the consultation and to ensure meaningful consideration of the comments received. More details about the consultation process will be provided in due course.
