This edition will take us "Beyond Banking", reflecting on the future our industry will face. At this thought provoking conference leaders from financial institutions in emerging markets will get together and have a unique opportunity to share their ideas and aspirations for the future. We expect to welcome 350 top bankers from over 60 countries in Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America. Networking is central to the conference and we promise you ample opportunities for this.
FinTech: enabler of Financial Inclusion
Conference Day 1: The Future of Finance
In this edition our speakers and interactive break-out sessions will focus on disruptive technology and how this is changing the way that financial services are delivered, consumed and perceived. The financial sector worldwide will need to adapt, and either compete with or embrace these new technologies. The key question is how do financial institutions remain relevant to their existing client base and their future clients, and how do we use this momentum to increase financial inclusion?
Conference Day 2: Financing the Future
On 27th September we take the conference "on the road" and aim to inspire you with a range of elective field trips to showcase new business models and alternative approaches to business challenges.
Goodbye to Nanno Kleiterp During this conference we will say goodbye to Nanno Kleiterp, who will step down as Chief Executive Officer of FMO on 1 October 2016. Nanno Kleiterp has served 21 years on the Management Board, first as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer and since October 2008, as CEO. He started his career with FMO 29 years ago, in 1987, as an Investment Officer at the SME department.
