Who is our customer
Miro Forestry & Timber Products is a triple bottom line plantation forestry business with operations in Ghana and Sierra Leone. The company's mission is to develop and operate globally high-quality and cost competitive commercial forestry whilst providing environmental, social, and economic benefit to local communities.
What is our funding objective?
This project will address strategic priorities related to strengthening Miro's human resources management, with a gender lens. Aim is to source new recruits from Field Ready's vetted pool, specifically for the 40 new positions on the industrial site with a gender profile of 50% women, as well as to develop a mentoring programme targeted towards female employees.
Why do we fund this investment?
Gender, including FMO's support to knowledge development and integration of key gender issue, is a strategic theme linked to E&S risk management.
