Who is our customer
FMO’s client is Maris Limited, one of FMO’s investee funds in Africa. FMO has supported Maris previously with CD funding.
What is our funding objective?
Maris has a commitment with its DFI investor(s) to further improve social and HuR risk management within the company’s portfolio. FMO aims to support this work thorough its CD program which entails: • Review of current social risks by external expert. • Development of detailed and targeted, topic-specific Social Management Plans (SMP). • Edit and add on to existing policies and procedures. • Provide training to implement new and updated policies.
Why do we fund this investment?
As an investor, FMO has as a priority to support its investee companies/funds to raise their ESG standards. This project is in line with such priority.
