Who is our customer
Eolo de Nicaragua is a 44 MW wind facility dedicated to power generation, operation and maintenance of wind turbines since 2012. It is in the department of Rivas, a municipality of the same name in the community of La Virgen, located on the shores of Lake Cocibolca, 123 km south of the country's capital.
What is our funding objective?
The aim of the project is to support EOLO in their efforts to protect communities from the effects of communicable diseases (such as: Dengue, Chicungunya, Zica, food borne illnesses, different forms of influenza and respiratory diseases as well as COVID-19), educate and prevent the spreading of these diseases. Eolo is proposing a long-term project that not only will have an impact during the current crisis, but that it will change habits in local communities in the long run. The project includes a program with schools to prevent communicable diseases, including improving sanitary conditions and information dissemination. The project also will provide basic equipment and supplies to a local health centre and includes protection of Eolo’s employees.
Why do we fund this investment?
The proposed project allows Eolo to reach the vulnerable population with the information and necessary techniques for mitigation and prevention of diseases and targets reducing inequalities.
