Vacancy

Intern Private Equity

Are you looking for an internship within a purpose-driven organization where you will have broad exposure to private equity? Apply today and join the Private Equity department @FMO!
  • Educational levelBachelor / Master degree
  • DeadlineMay 5, 2025

Your role

FMO’s Private Equity department is performing a deep dive into the historical performance of our direct private equity investments. The exercise aims to identify the differences in financial performance by geography and sector, but also to look more deeply at other variables (eg structure, timing, governance, identified ESG risks, etc.) and their correlation with high or low performance. Whereas some of this information can readily be obtained from our systems, other datapoints will require more detailed analysis of fund terms and transaction documentation. Your role will be to help design the research and perform the analysis. At the end of the period, you will document findings and recommendations in a report and present these.

Tasks and responsibilities

As an intern, you will:

  • Co-design the study together with PE and systems experts.
  • Perform the research.
  • Analyse the findings to identify causal relationships.
  • Formulate recommendations for future investments.
  • Prepare and present a report with learnings.

You will also be part of the wider Private Equity team for the duration of the internship and will gain exposure to its work.
