Your role

The KYC Corporates team (provides KYC support for the Energy and Agribusiness, Food & Water portfolios) is seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic KYC Analyst. You have knowledge of complex international structures and are interested to assess integrity risks in-depth, to identify potential red flags and to draft clear integrity risk analyses.

The workload will be a combination of new onboardings, monitoring of the existing portfolio and execution of any changes. You are keen to guarantee timelines and quality while at the same time you focus to further enhance processes, systems and procedures.

Your team

As a KYC Analyst, you will join FMO, a licensed bank. Its goal is to create development impact by financing the private sector in low- and middle-income countries. Also, it supports businesses in operating responsibly. To achieve this goal, the KYC department plays a crucial role. With customer due diligence (CDD) the customers’ identities are verified, and risk profiles are assessed in terms of Financial Economic Crime.

Via an integrated team approach, the KYC department closely collaborates with Investment teams, Compliance and Tax, to meet the integrity risk challenges together. The KYC department - consistently improving their knowledge through a culture of continuous learning - consists of circa 65 diverse and experienced professionals, organized in 4 teams. The KYC Corporates team is one of these 4 teams and consists of in total 20 KYC Analysts and Subject Matter Experts with diverse backgrounds.

Your background

You possess strong analytical and risk assessment skills. Your highly structured and process-oriented way of working guarantees meeting timelines while diligence and a keen eye for detail ensure (data) quality and consistency. You have a positive attitude, a proactive approach to problem-solving and eagerness to learn.  In combination with effective communication skills, flexibility and taking the necessary ownership, great collaboration across teams and cultures is warranted. You are an enthusiastic team player, but also capable of independently standing your ground.

‎You also have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of KYC experience within the international financial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of global AML/CFT standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Corporate and/or project finance experience is considered a great advantage.
