Regarding your day-to-day responsibilities and deliverables, this is what is expected from you:

  • Assume responsibility for FMO’s Integrated Reporting, Accounting & Control, and Impact Measurement teams (ca. 45 FTE)
  • Be responsible and accountable for the integrated Annual Report, including Public Funds, Annual Accounts, and regulatory reporting.
  • Responsible for operationalizing FMO’s impact and ESG measurement, ensuring that our measurement is relevant to FMO’s strategy, harmonized with international standards, and complete and of high quality to support internal and external reporting.
  • Translates high-level impact measurement frameworks into actionable tools, processes, and indicators for use in FMO’s portfolio.
  • Bring solutions to complex accounting and valuation issues (IFRS).
  • Signs off IFRS annual accounts.
  • Own the long-term financial projections and work closely with the Business, Risk Management, Strategy, and Management Board.
  • Ensure adequate internal controls are in place.
  • Owner of the Blueprint program to ensure large-scale improvements in the Finance and Risk reporting chain
  • Manage the implementation of new products, new regulations, and initiatives.
  • Bring the team to a higher level of professionalism, excellence, and efficiency.
  • Manage stakeholders' interests, especially with the Auditors and the Dutch Central Bank. Participate in FMO committees (e.g., Financial Risk Committee).
  • Member of the Senior Leadership Team. Frequently invited to the meetings of the Audit & Risk Committee (of the Supervisory Board).

  • Gross yearly salary ranging from EUR 175K-200K (including 8% holiday allowance and 13th month), depending on your seniority, years of relevant (managerial) experience, and background.

  • Working remotely abroad for 60 days in a rolling period of 12 months based on full-time employment
  • Hybrid way of working (50/50, albeit that for managers, more time in the office is recommended).

Your team

We are looking for a Director of Finance, Integrated Reporting, and Impact Measurement who will report to the Chief Finance & Operations Officer (CFOO) and be responsible for a department of approximately 45 FTE consisting of three teams: Integrated Reporting, Accounting & Control, and Impact Measurement. Your background

For the ideal candidate profile:

  • Relevant university education, preferably enhanced with a post-masters degree as CPA (RA) or EMFC (RC)
  • 15+ years of financial management experience within the financial services industry
  • Proven experience with sustainability reporting and impact measurement.
  • You possess leadership qualities and are a strategic thinker
  • Successful track record in realizing change from an organizational and cultural perspective.
  • Hands-on visionary with an inspiring and empowering leadership style.
  • Excellent communication and relational skills.
  • Managed external stakeholders, especially Auditors and the Dutch Central Bank
  • Resilience to succeed in a demanding and constantly evolving business.
