Are you interested in building a career in sustainability reporting? Do you want to be part of FMO’s journey to implementing the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and be among the first wave of companies to do so? Then this is the internship for you!
  • Educational levelBachelor degree (HBO)
  • DeadlineJuly 15, 2024

The team

The Impact Measurement and Integrated Reporting (IMIR) team is part of the Finance, Impact and Data department within FMO. IMIR is responsible for defining, harmonizing and carrying out impact measurement to provide information in support of FMO’s mission and strategy. Furthermore, IMIR ensures our internal and external stakeholders are informed on the progress FMO is making towards reaching its goals and other (inter)national commitments FMO has signed along the way.

Your role

The Integrated Reporting (IR) sub-team is responsible for delivering FMO’s first ever CSRD-compliant annual report in March 2025. You will support the team in all stages of the annual reporting process. Including creating checklists for content leads, reviewing content against these checklists, working with FMO’s content management system and supporting the assurance engagement with respect to preparing and managing the tracking table and engaging with stakeholders across the organization to collect evidence and respond to auditor questions. This internship offers a great opportunity to gain experience in sustainability reporting and understand how to apply non-financial reporting standards and regulation (CSRD in particular) within a truly international organization, while getting to know more about the world of development finance. The intern will work in a very international team alongside young professionals, experienced senior impact officers, and engage with departments across FMO.

Your background

You have/are:

  • You are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program focused on business, preferably with a focus on sustainability;
  • This internship is a requirement for your study (ECTS-eligible);
  • You are available for five to six months, for 4 or 5 days per week in the period of October to March.
  • You have a strong interest in sustainable finance and FMO’s mission;
