Who is our customer
Zambeef Plc. is a leading integrated agribusiness company in Zambia, involved across the value chains of of beef, chicken, pork, dairy products, edible oils, stock feed, grains, flour and bread. Its activities include production, processing, distribution and retailing.
What is our funding objective?
FMO's loan will be used to further develop the edible oils activities of Zambeef Plc.
Why do we fund this investment?
Zambia is one of the 55 poorest countries in the world. The expansion of Zambeef's operations will facilitate employment generation in a country with relatively high unemployment rates. In addition to this, increased production will provide consumers with better access to affordable food products.
